Libraries Closed Today
All Mariposa County Libraries will be closed on Thursday, November 25 and Friday, November 26 for the Thanksgiving holiday observance. (M. Dale)

Bike Rental & Ice Rink
Bike Rentals: Due to the favorable warm fall weather, bike rentals at Yosemite Valley Lodge and Curry Village will be open Thursday, November 25 – Sunday, November 28 from 9:30AM to 4PM.

Curry Village Ice Rink: The ice rink is getting prepared to open for the season, but the weather has not been consistently cool enough to keep the ice frozen. Curry Village anticipates opening the ice rink in early December conditions permitting, and will share an official opening date once established. (L. Cesaro)

Property Disposal Deadline November 30
The last day for property disposal is November 30. If you have any government property you need to get rid of before inventory time, you will need to schedule an appointment with Colin Smysor and you will need to have the correct property turn-in sheets with Property Liaison’s signatures. Contact Colin Smysor or Leonor C Perez for more information. (L. Perez)

Camp 4: The west side of Camp 4 (sites 1-36) closed for the season on November 15. The east side of Camp 4 (sites 37-61) remains open on a first-come, first-served self-registration basis. Visitors should go directly to Camp 4 to check for an available spot, and self-register at the Camp 4 kiosk following the posted instructions. No more than 6 people are allowed per campsite. No pets are allowed in Camp 4.

Upper Pines: The back three loops of Upper Pines (loops 4-6) closed for the season on November 22. The front three loops of Upper Pines (loops 1-3) remain open for the winter on reservation-only. If you’d like to use it, please check the reservation calendar on Sharepoint (http://sharepoint.yose.nps.gov/Admn/SitePages/Touchdown%20Space.aspx). Masks are required to be worn at all times in the touchdown space and throughout the building. (J. Morris)

The Ansel Adams Gallery Black Friday Changes
The Ansel Adams Gallery will be foregoing its traditional Black Friday Sale this holiday season. However, as this is a small community, The Gallery would like to extend to all locals living and working in the park (Yosemite, El Portal, Wawona, Foresta, Yose West) a 25% discount on all in store items (original fine art and educational classes excluded). To give ample time, this offer will be good until Monday, November 29 and not just on Black Friday proper. The Ansel Adams Gallery asks that you please bring with you a form of ID that lists a local address or park employment. Thanks, and Happy Holidays from TAAG Staff! (I. Carlson)

Merced Grove Restoration Safety Closure
The Merced Grove of giant sequoias is closed for restoration within the grove removing hazardous fuel loads. In 2020 and 2021, thousands of giant sequoias died due to high severity fire burning through fuel loaded forests. To reduce the risk to the Merced Grove of giant sequoias, a team will be removing fuels from in and around the grove. Email garrett_dickman@nps.gov for more information or access. (G. Dickman)
