Today: Mostly sunny. Highs 35 to 49. Northeast winds up to 5 mph.

Warehouse Closed 11/29

Please be advised that the Warehouse will be closed on Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, and we will only be staffed half day on 11/27. This also includes Fleet, Property, Mail and L&F so please plan accordingly. (L. Perez)

The Ansel Adams Gallery Sale for Park Partners

The Ansel Adams Gallery will be closed for business on Thanksgiving. We will resume our typical hours of 10am – 4pm following the holiday. We will be having a sale for all Park Partners from Friday through Monday with 25% off items in the store excluding consignment art and services. Utility Billing Delays

Due to an extended outage of the FBMS system, some residential utility billing will be delayed until the system is restored. This process is taking longer than usual due to system conversion errors. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this disruption.

Hey you! Is There Anybody Out There? Grab your friend Vera and your Mother In The Flesh (friends and family) for this PHS Athletics Event. Break away from being Comfortably Numb after Thanksgiving and say Goodbye Blue Sky for this event. The Happiest Days Of Our Lives are spent running/walking a 5K. Be sure to avoid The Thin Ice of winter because The Show Must Go On! Don’t build Another Brick In The Wall—tell your friends there’s Nobody Home and Bring The Boys Back Home!

9a-10a: Sign-in at front of Yosemite Medical Clinic. Hot chocolate provided! 9000 Ahwahnee Dr

10a-1p: Walk/Run, Route: Start at the Yosemite Medical Clinic, walk/run paved bike path to Mirror Lake and back.

Participant Preparation: Wear comfortable shoes, hydrate beforehand, bring water, layers, a rain shell for light rain, eat a light breakfast, stretch!

We came across this idea last minute and wanted to see if it could be pulled off and appreciate the patience and understanding as we try something new to promote physical fitness and community connectedness. If all goes well, this will hopefully be our first post-Thanksgiving fun run.

This family friendly event is open to all Park Employees and Community Members.

Project Updates from Historic Preservation

Big Oak Flat Information Station Project – Is now complete. New footers were poured, posts were replaced, and the building was lifted and braced.

Res 41 Rehabilitation – Historic Preservation is supporting Special Projects in a rehabilitation of Res 41 to get it back into the housing inventory. This project is ongoing.

Res 20 Rehabilitation – Historic Preservation completed major repairs to the exterior of the building this previous spring. HP staff will be supported by Special Projects to complete a rehabilitation of the interior to return the building to the housing inventory. This project is ongoing.

Wawona Hotel – Historic Preservation will stabilize posts on the main building after the hotel closes on Dec 1.

Lower Pines Entrance Kiosk – reroofed by Historic Preservation the week of Nov 18. The building was hit by and RV and the roof is now complete.

Chinquapin R&T Shed – reroofed and re-sided by Historic Preservation. The building was damaged by a falling tree in the spring and the repairs are now complete. (K. Brothers)

Kudos to Kenny Reeves

Kudos to Kenny Reeves for getting down and dirty installing insulation in the crawlspace of Res 41. Historic Preservation is working with Special Projects to fully rehabilitate this housing unit and get it back in the housing inventory. Thank you, Kenny and team! (K. Brothers)

Lotería Night 12/12 at EP Community Hall

Join us for a night of tacos from L&J Mexican, a game of Lotería (Mexican Bingo) with prizes, and screen printing to celebrate the holidays! ONGOING PROJECTS

Murchison House Project

The Historic Preservation Crew will be re-mothballing Murchison House, including roof repairs, siding repairs, and window repairs to keep moisture out of the structure and protect it for potential future use. Crews will be in and out of the location as needed. (K. Brothers)
